<p>Dr Rajinikanth Rajagopal (Dr Raj, as he popularly known) joined Gleneagles JPMC hospital in January 2015 as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist.</p>
<p>He completed his MBBS from JIPMER in Pondicherry, India in 1999 and moved to the United Kingdom, where he undertook training over the next 15 years. He underwent training in General Medicine and Intensive Care medicine in Kent before moving to London. He worked as a Registrar in Cardiology at West Middlesex Hospital and at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He subsequently moved to the North-west of England and undertook a 5 years speciality training program in General and Interventional Cardiology in Greater Manchester and Blackpool.</p>
<p>After completing training, he spent a year working in his home town of Pondicherry before returning to the UK to work as a Cardiology consultant. He left the UK in Dec 2015 to join the expanding Cardiology service at Gleneagles JPMC.</p>
<p>Dr Raj specialises in coronary intervention. His specific areas of interest include Primary PCI, FFR guided PCI, intracoronary imaging and TAVI.</p>
<p>He has several publications and presentations on general and interventional cardiology. He also performs peer-reviews for international journals.</p>

<p>Dr. Kenneth Ng is currently a consultant cardiologist and medical director of the Novena Heart Centre and his subspeciality interests are in cardiac imaging and advance heart failure management and heart transplantation.</p>
<p>Dr. Ng graduated from the National University of Singapore School of Medicine and pursued his internal medicine specialty training in Singapore and obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians from the United Kingdom and Masters of Internal medicine from the National University of Singapore. He subsequently went on to subspecialise in cardiology is on the register of Cardiologists in Singapore.</p>
<p>He was the Director of the Heart Failure Programme in the National Healthcare Group (2003 to October 2007). He ran a very successful heart failure service and has regularly published research articles on heart failure in peer reviewed international cardiology journals. He is widely recognized as an expert in the field of heart failure in the ASEAN region and has regularly been invited to give talks on heart failure at both local and regional conferences as well as the American congress of Cardiology Annual Scientific Meeting. He established the Surgical and Mechanical Assist Device Therapy programs for heart failure at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Subsequently, he was invited to set up the Heart Failure Disease Management Program in the Sultanate of Brunei by ParkwayHealth.</p>
<p>He is a board certified cardiologist in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography issued by the National Board of Education in the USA. He spent a year and a half as a heart failure/ transplant fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (2002-2003). He is involved in the education of medical students and trainee doctors through his appointment as a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore. He is an accredited instructor in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and has been invited to Malaysia and Brunei to conduct ACLS courses.</p>

<p>Dr. William Yip is the Adjunct Associate Professor, Visiting Consultant Pediatrician &amp; Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist at the National University of Singapore. He also holds other positions; he is a Director of The Singapore Baby &amp; Child Clinic Pte Ltd and a Consultant Pediatrician / Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist at the Gleneagles &amp; Mount Elizabeth Hospitals in Singapore and Gleneagles JPMC in Brunei.</p>
<p>He is published in numerous regional and international scientific journals in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. He has presented many papers and is often an invited speaker at congresses such as the International Congress of Pediatrics, Scientific sessions held by UNICEF, Symposium on Congenital Heart Disease, etc. He is a pioneer in device closure in children’s hearts and is an expert in treating Inborn Heart Problems with Minimally Invasive Transcatheter Technique.</p>
<p>A graduate of the National University of Singapore, Dr. Yip has also completed post-graduate training and work in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology and Haematology in The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh and The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London.</p>
<p>Associate Professor William Yip performed the first series of Patent Arterial Duct Occlusion by the Rashkind umbrella technique and the first series of Transvenous Closure of Secundum Atrial Septal Defect by the Amplatzer Septal Occluder in Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He also represented Singapore as an active participant of Asia Pacific Society of Paediatric Cardiology under the Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiology in the past 20 years, was Chairman organising the 2004 Meeting in Singapore; and country representative of the newly founded Asia Pacific Society of Paediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Bangkok since 2006.</p>
<p>He has contributed more than 190 articles in peer-reviewed international and regional medical journals, 240 conference papers and 13 books and book chapters. He has also lectured frequently on various topics in paediatric cardiology locally and internationally.</p>

<p>Dr Ng Kheng Siang is currently a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist in private practice at Gleneagles Hospital. Prior to leaving for private practice in November 2005, Dr Ng was the Director of Arrhythmia Service at The Heart Institute, National Healthcare Group, Head of Cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Senior Cardiologist, Cardiac Department at National University Hospital and Clinical Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Medicine, Department of Medicine at National University Of Singapore. He is now a Visiting Cardiologist to the Cardiac Department of National University Hospital, the Cardiology Department of Alexandra Hospital and the Medicine Department of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He is also a member of North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE), now known as Heart Rhythm Association (HRA).</p>
<p>After obtaining his MBBS in 1984 in Singapore, he went on to attain his post-graduate degree in MRCP in 1989. In 1994-95, he was attached to the Arrhythmia Service at Stanford University Medical Centre, USA. There, he trained in Cardiac Electrophysiology/ Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation and Permanent Pacemaker/Implantable Cardioverter- Defibrillator, which are highly specialized treatments for both supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. To date, he has performed a total of more than 1,000 such procedures. </p>

<p>Dr. Tarmizi Hakim is one of the pioneers in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery in Indonesia, and is a of founding member of National Cardiovascular Center-Harapan Kita, the leading cardiovascular hospital and research center in the country.</p>
<p>Dr. Tarmizi Hakim is the President of the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia for the period 2007-2009, Head of the Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Teaching Program at the University of Indonesia and Consultant Cardiothoracic &#038; Vascular Surgical Services at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita Hospital, University of Indonesia. He is also a well-known Cardiothoracic surgeon and has performed many open heart surgeries. He is renowned for his pioneering work in Cardiac Surgery, especially in Indonesia. He has 54 national scientific publications and 27 international scientific publications and is regularly invited to speak at regional and international Cardiac Surgical Meetings.</p>
<p>Dr. Tarmizi Hakim graduated from Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia and received his M.D in 1973 and become residence in Surgery at RS. Cipto Mangunkusumo, University of Indonesia until 1979. He commenced his training in Surgery and was admitted as fellow of St. Vincent’s Hospital, University of Melbourne, Australia. He has also trained at Royal Children’s Hospital, University of Melbourne, Australia, Austin Hospital, University of Melbourne, Australia, Greenland Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand, Tokyo Women Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan, Institute Sionx, Switzerland, New York, USA and Curritiba, Brazil.</p>
