The General Ward is an 11 bedded unit. Patients in the General Ward are generally transferred in from ICU when their conditions are more stable and they are able to walk around on their own. The ward also admits patient prior to angiogram, surgery and as well as those with non-urgent life threatening cardiac conditions.

The patients here are looked after by the same medical and surgical healthcare team who are looking after the patients in the ICU. This ensures a standard of care for the patients.

The ward is staffed by a team of Registered Staff Nurses and Healthcare Assistants and led by a Nurse Manager.
