The Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, better known by its acronym, CVL, is located in the main building of Gleneagles Cardiac Centre. It is well equipped to perform interventional procedures such as:

• Cardiac Catheterisation (Coronary Angiogram)
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) with the newest available Drug-Eluting Stents
• Pacemaker insertions (both Permanent and Temporary)
• Insertions of Dual chamber Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (AICD)
• BI-VENT ICD
• Atrial Septal Defects (ASD) device closures
• Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) device closures
• Aortic stenting
• Electrophysiology Study and Ablation

and a host of other interventional procedures.

These procedures and treatments are performed by our Consultant Cardiologist together with a team of experienced and qualified cardiac technicians, radiographers and staff nurses.

Our CVL is available 24 hours a day, 7 day a week to perform these procedures.
