Established on 15th July 2002 , Gleneagles JPMC Sdn Bhd (Gleneagles) was operational on the 8th August 2002 . Gleneagles is a joint venture between Gleneagles International Pte. Ltd. a subsidiary of Parkway Group Healthcare, a major Singapore healthcare company, and the Government of Brunei Darussalam. It is the first hospital in Brunei Darussalam to set up a world-class tertiary Cardiac Centre for patients with cardiac problems.

Gleneagles Cardiac Centre`s resident specialists comprise of Cardiologists, Surgeons and Anaesthetist. They, together with well qualified and experienced nursing and support staff provide a wide range of cardiac related medical and surgical services for the complete management of patients with cardiac problems. Additional medical, surgical and nursing support is provided by Parkway's hospitals in Singapore and Malaysia.
