The Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) of Gleneagles JPMC recently hosted its annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration with cardiac rehabilitation patients in a warm and meaningful gathering held last Saturday at Jade Space, Annajat Complex.
The event brought together patients, healthcare professionals, and hospital leadership in a spirit of togetherness, marking the festive season with appreciation, reflection, and community connection. The programme was thoughtfully arranged with a variety of engaging activities, including lively performances from patients and staff, interactive games, and lucky draws, all of which contributed to an uplifting and memorable experience for patients and staff alike.
The celebration was graced by Mr ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Hj Jomari, Chief Operating Officer of Gleneagles JPMC, who attended as Guest of Honour. During the event, he presented the grand prizes to lucky winners and took the opportunity to interact warmly with patients and staff, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to patient-centred care and engagement beyond clinical settings.
The programme commenced with welcoming remarks by Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit Manager, Ms Logavalli Bahaulayan, who expressed her appreciation to all attendees for their continued participation and support. This was followed by a speech from the newly appointed patient ambassador representative, Pg Mohd Noorhasni Bin Pg Haji Omar, who shared encouraging words that highlighted the perseverance and determination demonstrated by cardiac rehabilitation patients throughout their recovery journey.
In his remarks, Pg Mohd Noorhasni emphasised the importance of consistency, discipline, and emotional strength in achieving long-term recovery, while also acknowledging the supportive environment fostered within the CRU
community.
Speaking on the event, Ms Logavalli Bahaulayan said, “Celebrations like these play an important role in bringing our patients together, strengthening their support system, and reminding them that they are not alone in their recovery journey. It is always encouraging to see their progress, not just physically, but emotionally as well.”
