In the spirit of giving and community care this upcoming holy month, Gleneagles JPMC carried out its annual Ramadhan Charity Drive yesterday, bringing support, essential items, and heartfelt goodwill to ten underprivileged households in the Kuala Belait area.
The charity drive was led by Gleneagles JPMC’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Haji Jomari, together with 20 dedicated staff volunteers. This year’s families were identified in collaboration with Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM), ensuring that assistance was extended to families most in need within the community.
As part of the initiative, Gleneagles JPMC distributed essential food items, daily necessities and cash donation to help ease the families’ needs during Ramadhan. Volunteers personally visited each household to deliver the contributions and share warm Ramadhan greetings, reflecting the hospital’s commitment to compassionate care beyond its clinical setting.
“At Gleneagles JPMC, we believe that caring for the community goes beyond providing healthcare services. Through our collaboration with MKM, we are able to reach families who truly need support, especially during Ramadhan,” said Dr Peter Tay, Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles JPMC.
The 2026 drive marks another year of Gleneagles JPMC’s efforts to extend support beyond clinical care, reinforcing its role not just as a healthcare provider, but as a caring community partner dedicated to uplifting lives.
